Animal Behavior

Post  Hybrid5226 on Sat Aug 16, 2008 10:01 pm

This might gross some people out but I'm throwing it out there .
Were I live I have never had this problem before . This last winter I had an extreme amount of rodents enter my house .
It Started with a big rat which I moved to a different location then like clock work after that I have had 2 mice a month the same time of the month for the last 4 months enter my house an I have had to take them for a ride to a new location .

Neither had been a problem in the past an I have no pets or kids that would leave me to belief they were following a food trail or something for them to follow .

2 summers ago we had tent catipillar epidemic in all the trees an bushes .
Now that I express that .All the flooding , tornado's fires, hurricanes that have been going on lately are more active to .
I remember a few people commenting about they are not seeing any more bee's lately either . I have some if anyone is missing them .

Hey well I was thinking the same thing about the bees....
I have got attacked 3 times this week by bees and my friend did too....as well as my 2 year old!!

Rodents are just a part of where I live..and the bubanic plague(i'm not sure if thats correct spelling) is being spread out in California..so if your out west I would be carful handling rodents in save a heart traps..you don't want their fleas to get on anything!! Like a Star @ heaven

I wished that they could correct the bee problem. The price of honey has gone way up.... and I drink a lot of Green Tea with local honey!

I have noticed some abnormal bugs here recently. We have this new species of moth that keeps showing up at our house. These Moth's are HUGE! Has anyone notice any larger then normal bugs?

Our little friends

Post  quackenheimer on Mon Aug 18, 2008 12:26 am

Well I'm definately aware of strange behavior in all living creatures. If you look at the big picture you can see it all around. Not just in our little insect friends but also our larger mammal friends as well. I believe it is a product of what Man has created. It is foolish in my opinion for certain souls to believe that they can manipulate Mother earth into doing what they want it to do for their own profit. We have such a beautiful planet and it hurts my heart to see what mankind has done to it. I see it around me all the time. One small example, I have been traveling up and down the pacific coast all of my life and only until recently have I seen so much dead sea life on the shores with no other explantion other than their habitats are being destroyed by man made polutants being dumped into our oceans. They are innocent inteligent creatures whose only desire is to find food, play and live in harmony with each other. (we could learn alot from them) They have no control over what is dumped into their homes. I've seen the bark beetles destroy thousands of beautiful trees because their cycles have been disrupted by changing weather. I've seen to many acres of fields and hillsides full of abundant life raped and turned into suburbs and shopping malls. I hope I have not gotten off the subject but yes I am aware of strange behavior.

Animal Behavior

You reminded me of a couple things about the earth .
I received a cd from a friend who scuba dives in the puget sound an the area he was in was completely void of vegatation an animal life . It was really sad .

Another quick comment on the taking care of the earth . I had acquired some property in an old growth area that had been logged (butchered) an because of the way they did it the tree's that were left behind , the majority of them are diseased . Since then I have heard horror stories from others in the area that had purchased land in the area to be stewards of the flora an fauna only to find for instances 75 1 gallon containers of paint that someone has dumped there an what a bear to take the right steps to dispose of it .

Frustrating .
